Q2. Why is 12 weeks a recommended minimum period of time if 6 weeks is the foundation phase?
My experience has shown that it will take a new person at least 12 weeks before they gain the level of self-confidence and understanding required to not only lose some weight but also how to keep it off.
Q3. What if my budget only allows me to complete the initial 6 week foundation phase?
On completion of the initial 6 week foundation phase I will give you your 6 week audio coaching programme containing everything you and I will have covered over the initial 6 week period. This will act as your ongoing support and remainder this has proven very successful for a number of people.
As with any healthy eating plan there are some proven principles that do work e.g. eating a breakfast. Within the programme there are over 10 weeks of healthy eating plans but rather than have you follow them blindly you will use them as guidelines. One of the aims of the Coach Me Slim & Trim® programme is to get you to develop your own personalised eating plan as quickly as possible so that you don't feel as though you're on a diet. Yes. A number of my clients have lost weight and improved their fitness without becoming gym members I can coach and train you from your home. It is worth mentioning that I do have access to a number of gyms in the Salisbury area.
Q10. What about "magic" diets that promise quicker results?
Make no mistake -- the multi-million pound diet industry tells you what you want to hear. But losing weight is hard work to begin with, every minute of every day. How hard are you willing to work mainly on your mindset? Do it right once, and you'll reach and maintain your goals much quicker than following the latest "magic diet"
Just about everybody likes the taste of food, but you have to develop the maturity to balance your intake. Control the quality and the amount of what you eat.
Q12. How will the Coach Me Slim & Trim® programme stop me slipping back into my old habits?
You can't break habits without forming new ones. If you take something out of your life, there's a void. And when there's a void, it's easy to drift back to what you used to do. You need to replace the old habits with new, incompatible behaviour that will crowd the old behaviour out. This programme is design to help you create those new habits through practical application.
Q13. How much exercise will I need to do on the programme?
The Coach Me Slim & Trim® programme exercise component was developed in consultation with the fitness professionals, pilates instructors and physiotherapists. You will be encourage to gradually increase your activity through a combination of natural, planned and playful physical activity. Erak will work with you to develop a personalised, staged approach that starts where you are right now and builds from there.
In research conducted by the National Weight Control Registry of 4500 individuals who have lost at least 30 pounds and kept it off for one year, it was found that such individuals, on average, are physically active for 60 minutes a day. The good news is, the "exercise" is a combination of walking, resistance, and "natural" activity. The bottom line: it's not a strenuous exercise regimen, but an active lifestyle that makes the difference between maintainers and weight re-gainers.
