Salisbury Weight Watchers
Without a doubt, Weight Watchers has been one of the most successful group weight loss programmes in recent times.
Weight Watchers, however, is not for everyone.
Large groups, public weigh-ins, and counting points can leave some individuals a little embarrassed and confused.
With a large group setting, you do not always have the opportunity to get to know the people attending, so may lack any real sense of camaraderie which is vital when your trying to achieve a goal in a group setting.
Public weigh-ins can prove a little embarrassing and be-littling to some individuals; not everyone wants to share their weight publicly.
If you are considering a weight loss programme, here are just 8 checkpoints for you to consider:
1. As simple as it sounds, has the programme worked for anyone else with a similar background to you?
2. Does the programme provide clear guidelines for healthy eating?
3. Does the programme offer flexibility within the eating plan, i.e. ,some people like to mix food with healthy shakes.
4. Who is running the programme? Ideally, somebody that not only looks as though they practice what they preach but has the credentials and experience to help you combine mental motivation, healthy eating and exercise into a long-lasting programme.
5. Can the programme be delivered in a variety of ways, i.e., one to one or in a small group setting, eight or less people?
6. Does the programme offer any type of guideline as to the mental journey that you will be undertaking when you start off on the programme?
7. Does the programme actively promote exercise and show you exactly how to do it?
8. Does the programme teach you to be self-sufficient?
Now that's a little "food for thought!"
